DC United selects three in MLS SuperDraft
LOS ANGELES – D.C. United drafted three players in the first two rounds of Friday's 2017 MLS SuperDraft. The Black-and-Red selected defender Chris Odoi-Atsem with the 12th overall pick in the first round, and goalkeeper Eric Klenofsky (34th overall), and defender Jo Vetle Rimstad (43rd overall) in the second round.

Coming full circle
When MLS started in 1996, all 10 teams played in stadia where either NFL or college football teams were the primary tenant (if not the building owners). Oversized seating capacity, narrow fields, obtrusive line markings, uneven surfaces and schedule changes necessitated by NFL games – not to mention the exorbitant rents in some cases, restrictions on advertising and the loss of other revenue streams – were among the many reasons MLS teams strived to distance themselves from their American football brethren.

Vegas wants back into MLS expansion race
Las Vegas’ hopes of getting an MLS team were put on hold nearly two years ago when Commissioner Don Garber said Sin City wouldn’t be considered “until after 2018." Two years until the start of 2019, Las Vegas is moving to re-enter the race.
